John F. Seelow
1942 — 2014

Here's to you, John. Always thinking about ABA Members.

ABA is sad to report the death of its best friend, John Seelow on Thursday October 9, 2014.

John was very special to ABA and was the face of ABA to the membership since he become Executive Director in 2006. John brought ABA into the electronic age during his term of office by placing on-line the membership database, Annual Meeting Registration, ABA Journals, Brewery Database, 100 Years of Brewing, maintaining the ABA Website and the restoration of the ABA Library.

Prior to becoming ABA Executive Director, John was employed at The Stroh Brewery Corporate Headquarters in downtown Detroit, Michigan from 1982 to 1999 when Stroh's closed. John was the Director of Information Processing Services at The Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1960 to 1982 when it was sold to The Stroh Brewing Company.

There will be a memorial services for John on Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church located at 3240 Pine Grove Avenue, Port Huron, MI 48060 starting at 11 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Colonial Woods Missionary Church or the American Cancer Society. An obituary from the Port Huron Times Herald can be found here.
